In this 7 week series, the student will be introduced to the entire deck, Major and Minor Arcana and receive guidance on developing their intuition for practical use of the Tarot. Also included is a discussion of ethical concerns, recommended books and exercises, magickal resources to aid in reading and various useful spreads. We will briefly discuss Tarot spellwork as well.

Week 1- Grounding, Intuition, Major Arcana cards of The Fool through The Wheel of Fortune
Week 2 – Spirit Guides, Alpha, and Major Arcana cards of Strength through The World.
Week 3- Minor Arcana- Cups / Lunar Return
Week 4- Minor Arcana- Wands / ways of bonding with your deck.
Week 5- Minor Arcana- Swords / spellwork to overcome challenges.
Week 6- Minor Arcana- Discs / crystals to improve readings.
Week 7- Various useful spreads, ethical concerns.

Rev Amy Koban has been a student & practitioner of the Tarot since 1990. Having been a student of psychology as well, she combines problem solving skills, intuition and spirituality to form a new perspective on your life and it*s journeys. As owner and teacher at Amy K*s Mystick Korner (formerly boutique) in historic Lewiston NY, she has been instructing students in Wicca, Astrology, Spellwork and Tarot since 2002. She has studied under the Rev. High Priestess Laurie Cabot in Salem MA, becoming skilled at integrating brain wave cycles with problem solving, inner vision and the application of correct energies. She has since gone on to study energy work, magick & spiritualism with the guidance of authors Breid Foxsong & Ray Buckland. Her career expanded in 2005 teaching at the world renown Spiritualist Assembly of Lilydale NY. Amy has recently retuned from LilyDale after completing Power Mediumship with Sharon Klingler, adding to her tool kit of insight.

In this unique three-week course, the student will be introduced to several simple techniques and meditations. These exercises are designed to safely ground, grow and enhance the student's intuition. We will then apply those techniques to the learning and use of the Tarot. In this portion of the class we will explore and interpret the Major Arcana and the Journey of the Fool throughout. We will also discuss the pioneering effects of selective control of left-brain activity to improve our readings, with or without cards. This insight can be a tool of empowerment for Intuitive Development.

MAGICK WITH A “K”
(Previously taught at LilyDale, NY- 2005)

Mag~ick n 1. Spelled with a K to distinguish it from Stage Magic or slight of hand. 2. The practice of affecting the material world, (or other planes of existence) through non-material or mystical means.
In this class Amy will cover theory and meditative practice. She will discuss the two basic categories of Magick; religious and non-religious along with their sub-categories including prayer, blessing, timing, and astrological consideration and using color in spellwork. The meditative portion of this workshop will include basic necessary grounding techniques and alpha brainwave visualizations. We will conclude with a spell designed in harmony with and for the greatest good of the students.
